Constant Companion [Posted on 2008-11-14] To add to the many other glowing reviews: I had an ipod nano and thought life couldn't get better--except for iTunes. Then the battery died. I did a lot of research for my replacement and ended up liking this way more than the nano. Great sound, tiny size, very light, the clip works great and can clip to your t-shirt. I found most headphone cords way too long and tangly with this tiny thing, so I have taken to using a twist tie to keep the excess cordage out of the way. Sansa updates the firmware regularly and you never know what new features your clip may have! For example, it now plays .ogg files. The voice recorder works well. I've only used it to make notes to myself, but it's handy for that, and may well be good for lectures. You can use almost any media player to load it up--except iTunes--or you can just drag and drop files onto it. You can use it as a portable drive. It's great for books from Audible--probably the best player on the market for that. My only complaints, and they won't bother most people--are that it plays podcasts from newest to oldest, and I want them the other way; and it won't play the .aac format that itunes turned all my files into (more an Apple issue than a Sansa issue). It fits in my coin purse with my RAZR--and I can use the RAZR charger to charge this. Excellent value and performance.
BEST PORTABLE MUSIC PLAYER PERIOD!!!!! [Posted on 2008-11-15] If you want an MP3 player that is:
extremely small/easily concealed,
light-weight with a stylish design,
simple user interface,
fm tuner,
terrific sound quality
has a tiny/useful screen....
If you dont want to buy ANY extra accesories...this MP3 player was made for you. If you want to listen to music on a portable device, this ;clip' is the best thing to happen to you!
The CLIP has an acutally very durable clip and does not require ANY accesories!
Definitley recomended! Its an awesome value!
For little than the price of an Ipod Nano CASE ($24-30), you get a sleek, lightweight, easy-to-use, ready to use mp3 player that is incredibly low maintenance and with many features! Clips range in price from $28 to $70!!
Great Player [Posted on 2008-11-19] I've had no problems with this at all. I've had it over a month now and while others I've used to work out with have issues due to moisture or bad craftsmanship this MP3 player has been great.
I've had a knock-off flash player and a MuVo besides the Sansa and this is better by far. Great choice for working out (especially with the sturdy clip) and for those that aren't a fan of cr-Apple.
Cheap, small, good capacity, easy to use. [Posted on 2008-11-24] This is a nice little player. It is easy to use and sounds great. It also has an FM radio, which is cool. Unfortunately, it doesn't have AM (I listen to baseball games), but that may be because it requires a different antenna type. My Sony AM/FM radio Walkman is heavy and bulky by comparison. It has decent capacity at 4GB and easy to use controls. Rhapsody is a bit slow to register the content, but it doesn't need as many updates as iTunes. It charges fairly quickly using powered USB ports on your computer. Unlike an iTune Shuttle it plays playlists or albums. You can randomize if you wish. My wife had hers for 3 months (I put the music on it and updated the firmware and Rhapsody), then I bought one because I liked the way hers worked. Our 60GB iPod just sits there now.
Sansa Clip 4 GB [Posted on 2008-11-25] Very good sound quality that can be improved with better quality earbuds. Very simple to use and has a good battery life.
