nice sound & comfy [Posted on 2008-08-29] I am really happy with my ear buds - they work great and are very comfortable. The three sizes of covers would help them fit anyone comfortably I believe. The price was great and as usual Amazon's service was good. I'm no audiophile or anything but I'm very happy with these.
Great fit and noise reduction [Posted on 2008-09-08] I bought these earbuds mainly to get a pair that fit in my ears. Regular earbuds will not stay in my ears. These come with 3 different size buds and the small fits well.
I have listened only to audiobooks so far and the sound is good. These earbuds block outside noise very well. I have been able to turn the volume down to 4 or 5. They even block out kitchen noises (I wear them while I cook) like running water and the spice grinder. I tried to listen to them while using the food processor and I could hear the reader if I turned the volume up a bit, but the noise was finally too distracting.
One thing I have noticed a couple of times was after I listened to a book for an hour or more I started to get a headache. It was more than likely a coincidence and not related to the earbuds. If it is related to the earbuds, I think it probably is due to the type of earbuds (internal) they are and not related to the brand.
Solid Phones [Posted on 2008-10-03] First off, the only reason I rated 4 instead of 5 stars is because I had switch out the Sennheiser bud tips for my old Sony MDR-EX71s. The Sennheiser tips created an uncomfortable suction inside my ear canal.
Sound is awesome. I'd equate the bass to having a subwoofer in your mouth...but the full range is no punk either. The cord is just long enough to have your player in pocket and comfortably wear the 300s; preferably left pocket since that's the short side of the line. Any more movement than a casual walk and you may want to invest in a short extension, or clip your player somewhere above waist level.
Listening to KMFDM - "Juke Joint Jezebel" @ half volume
Excellent Quality [Posted on 2008-10-09] The ear buds are excellent; they provide high quality sound and are very comfortable. My only complaint is that the wire is a little awkward, but the buds are still completely worth every penny (and maybe a little more).
Haven't even tried the phones yet, but the packaging was absolutely ridiculous [Posted on 2008-11-04] I fully realize how silly it is to review an item based solely on it's packaging, but this is a measure of how ridiculous it was to open the package. The item arrived very quickly (from a third party merchant, of course), and I have no doubt that I will enjoy the ear buds. Opening the plastic packaging, however, took me so long that I had to give up half way through and take a break. During the process, I also lost one of the extra ear-pieces. I'm not weak, I'm not crazy, and I can get through most every-day challenges without losing my mind. There is no reason to design packaging this way, and I'm leaving this review and this one-star rating because knowing what I know now would have made me reconsider my purchase. Sennheiser (and other companies) should reconsider their packaging. How hard can it be to make something that opens in an simple, straight-forward way?
